For our client we are looking for a Specialist IFRS Accounting

Start: asap

End: 6 months

Hours: Fulltime


Define, develop and improve (commercial) accounting capabilities to be an effective and trusted partner for the business: - Proactively drive IFRS commercial business partnering / issue resolution on complex matters (deal structuring, M&A, revenue recognition and pricing structure, significant contracts) as the point of contact between the business and accounting (RACs) - Catalyst for change and improvement by designing accounting treatments which support the business in the best possible way whilst at all times (and as a prerequisite) enforcing the IFRS standards - Drive continuous improvements in and between accounting departments (Corporate Accounting & Reporting, RAC’s, GBS) in order to drive the overall accounting quality and to meet the overall business objectives (15 by 20) - Drive solid, timely and high-quality reporting by acting as the linking pin between Corporate Accounting & Reporting, RACs, FP&A, commercial and ISC control. - Translate theoretical accounting concepts in practical solutions – ensuring the subsequent procedures can be performed within the RAC’s as envisaged in Horizon Drive solid, timely and high-quality reporting by acting as the linking pin between accounting and control: - Participating in webFEM improvements - Review and resolve significant issues raised by liaising with all relevant internal stakeholders (Commercial, ISC, FPA, Corporate Accounting & Reporting, RACs, GBS) for the AN PL reporting and subsequently identify potential areas for improvements - Lead technical departmental projects (as IFRS expert) - Drive continuous improvements in and between accounting departments (Corporate Accounting & Reporting, RAC’s, GBS) Take part in Monthly, Quarterly and Annual closings, supporting a smooth and no-surprises close by: - Maintaining the Issue tracker with accounting issues - Receiving and performing analytical review on the data from BU’s/RAC’s - Taking responsibility for certain A-forms in the monthly/quarterly/Hard Close/annual closing Supporting and interacting with Processing department in order to run a smooth consolidation system and process Responsibilities Corporate accounting department – Technical Accounting • Participate in webFEM improvements • Drive solid, timely and high-quality reporting by acting as the linking pin between accounting and control and resolve all complex and significant issues raised by liaising with all relevant internal stakeholders (Commercial, ISC, FPA, Corporate Accounting & Reporting, RACs, GBS) for the AN PL reporting and subsequently identify potential areas for improvements • Lead technical departmental projects (as IFRS expert) • Drive continuous improvements in and between accounting departments (Corporate Accounting & Reporting, RAC’s, GBS)
