 Responsible for the preparation of all store CAR’s (Capital Authorization Request). Including all supporting back up for the presentations at the monthly real estate meeting.
• Monthly Capital Expenditure Forecasting: Compilation of details of actuals and forecast monthly store build costs obtained from the construction department.
• Monitoring Store Building costs: Produce analysis of tangible and intangible asset expenditure, explanation of variances and update forecasts as required.
• Produce anniversary statements of new store openings once first year of operation in complete. Analyse variances for CAR and propose amendments to standard as required.
• Cost reduction initiatives: work with construction/purchasing department to highlight areas of potential savings in store build programs
• Compile and prepare 3 years capital budget. Share information with the planning and finance department when needed.
• Expense Management Reporting: Assistance with weekly, monthly and periodic management as required
• Preparation of variances from budget and explanations of reasons for such variances
• Expense Management: Monitor and analyse department expenses, reconcile cost center statement to invoiced expenses.
• Pro actively assist senior management to control and manage the expenses in their area of responsibility
• Management Reporting: Assistance with weekly, monthly reports.
